Start with what actually happened
That was with barely any prep time. The 2025 national means: VR 602 · DM 628 · QR 661. You beat the country in VR without trying, matched it in DM, and dropped nearly a hundred points in QR — the single most trainable section on the exam. This is not a talent problem. It's a targeting problem.
What the gap costs. At 1820, the UCAT-heavy schools don't call you for interview: Bristol's last cut-off was 2240, Newcastle scores UCAT up to 2400, Edinburgh's floor is 1850, Sheffield's minimum is 1800. At 2100 (8th decile), the composite schools open and a strategic four-choice application is strong. At 2220+ you're in ranker territory. Every threshold here is last cycle's actual, sourced in the app.

The bit nobody else will say
The official free materials — four full practice tests and fifteen question banks with explanations — are better than anything any company sells, including us. The Consortium says so itself. So why pay anyone anything?
Because questions were never your problem. You had questions last year. What you didn't have: a plan aimed at your weakest marks, pacing drilled at real per-question budgets, an error log that turns mistakes into rules, and someone honest enough to say "stop mocking, you're done". That layer — the method layer — is the Engine. The evidence backs it: technique instruction and structured plans move scores (g=.35–.40); raw question volume on its own moves nothing (Hao et al., 2025).
Less work, not more
- SJT: ~0 hours of grind. You're Band 1. Medify's syllabus would have you drilling your best subject. The Engine schedules light weekly maintenance and spends your hours where the 280 points live.
- VR: banked. You're 28 above the national mean untrained. Pacing drills only.
- QR and DM: that's the campaign. ~45 focused minutes a day, five-minute Maths Gym bursts, and a plan that gates the stopwatch until your accuracy earns it.
- An end point. The plan tapers and stops. No infinite question pile, no "one more mock". Six weeks, run properly, then done.
What this actually is
